Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Prime Time Performer nominees

Voting is open and will run through midnight Sunday for the next Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois in Mt. Vernon Prime Time Performer.

Here are the nominees for April 8-13:

Emma Behrmann, Nashville: The sophomore set school records winning the long jump (17-8.5) and finishing second in the triple jump (36-5.5) at the Wiseman/Henning Invite at Freeburg.

Jadyn Gerardi, Anna-Jonesboro: The sophomore broke a 30-year old school record while winning the 400 meters with a time of 58.80 at the SIU High School Outdoor meet.

Calen Lilly, Carbondale: The sophomore set a new school record of 22-7 to win the long jump at the SIU High School Outdoor meet.

Megan McNitt, Murphysboro: The senior scored 7 goals and added 3 assists in 2 Red Devils’ wins, including 4 goals and an assists in a win over Harrisburg.

Kaitlyn Reuss, Marion: The senior was 8-11 with 3 doubles, 3 home runs, and 12 RBI helping the Lady Wildcats to a 3-0 week. Reuss also picked up a win in the circle, striking out 10 against St. Joseph-Ogden.

Sara Schurz, Carbondale: The freshman scored 6 goals and added an assist to help the Terriers go 3-0 for the week. Schurz scored 4 goals and added an assist in a win over Sikeston.

Braden Wakey, Carterville: The senior set a new school record of 6-7.5 to win the high jump in addition to winning the shot put (48-11.5) and discus (156-10.25) as well as finishing second in the long jump (21.875) at the SIU High School Outdoor meet..

Drew Wheeler, Mt. Vernon: The senior was 7-15 with a triple, 8 RBIs, and 2 runs scored to help the Rams go 3-1 for the week.

Ruby Yates, Anna-Jonesboro: The junior was 5-6 with 2 doubles, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs, and 2 runs scored at the plate. She was 2-0 in the circle, 1 unearned run on 6 hits in 13 innings, while striking out 21.
