Zain Al-Jassim, Chester: The senior was 13-14 for 265 yards with 3 touchdowns passing and added a 22-yard TD run in the Yellow Jackets’ 41-0 win over Carlyle. Al-Jassim became the school’s all-time career passing leader with 3957 yards.
Jonathan Brown, Du Quoin: The junior rushed 25 times for 209 yards and scored 2 touchdowns in the Indians’ 39-18 win over West Frankfort.
Chase Cole, ZRC: The senior shot a 76 to earn medalist honors at the Cobden 1A Regional held at Union County Country Club.
Hinsley Everett, NCOE: The senior recorded 47 kills, 9 blocks, and 6 aces helping the Fighting Cardinals go 6-0 for the week, including 4-0 to win the Marion Invitational. Everett was named Tournament MVP.
Archie Goewey, Centralia: The freshman was 12-19 passing for 219 yards with 4 touchdowns and added 28 yards rushing in the Orphans’ 35-13 win at Marion.
Emily Gottman, Mt. Carmel: The senior shot a 68 to earn medalist honors and help the Lady Aces win the championship of the Mt. Carmel 1A Regional at the West Berwick Golf Club.
Hayden Klingeman, Nashville: The senior was 9-16 passing for 270 yards with 3 touchdowns and added 80 yards rushing in the Hornets’ 27-10 win over Benton.
Noah Pollard, Carmi-White Co.: The senior rushed 14 times for 258 yards, scored 5 touchdowns and added a pair of 2-pt conversions in the Bulldogs’ 72-27 win over CZR.
Ayva Rush, Vienna: The senior had 117 assists, 79 digs, 11 kills, and 13 aces to help the Lady Eagles go 4-3 for the week. Rush was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Marion Invitational.
Brynn Stiegman, Nashville: The junior shot a 74 to earn medalist honors and help the Hornettes win the championship of the ZRC 1A Regional held at Franklin County Country Club.
River Stilley, Benton: The senior shot a 76 to earn medalist honors and help the Rangers win the championship of the Herrin 2A Regional held at Pine Lakes Golf Club.
Davin Wooley, Carbondale: The sophomore was 13-16 passing for 250 yards with 5 touchdowns and added 28 yards rushing in the Terriers’ 69-7 win over Granite City.
