CAMPBELL HILL — The Elverado Lady Falcons earned a spot in the Trico 1A Softball Sectional championship game by scoring five unanswered runs to beat Goreville 8-5.
Elverado advances to Saturday morning’s championship game against Waltonville/Sesser-Valier at 11:00. WSV beat Century 14-2 in five innings behind Elyssa Schoenbaechler who not only struck out 10 to pick up the win in the circle, but went 4-4 with a home run and six RBIs.
