Oftentimes, August is not the time you hear about potential impact college basketball players joining teams but one such player was given the green-light to find a team for the 2025-26 season on Tuesday. According to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, Ali Dibba has received a waiver from the NCAA for an additional year of eligibility.
Southern Illinois transfer Ali Dibba has received a waiver from the NCAA for an additional year of eligibility and is eligible for the 2025-26 season, per his agent Rashaad Ubah.

Dibba was SIU’s leading scorer in 2024-25, averaging 17.2 points.
The Salukis have a 15th scholarship available if they would like to try and bring Dibba back. But they would likely have to do some convincing – Dibba has been in the Transfer Portal since March 31st.
