CARBONDALE — Saluki Basketball fans are in for a treat Saturday night at Giant City Lodge. SIU Hall of Famer Jamaal Tatum has organized the Reunion at the Rim, featuring the 2002 and 2007 Saluki Sweet 16 teams. The featured speaker is another Saluki Hall of Famer, Chris Carr.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Tatum’s nonprofit Athletics Against Substance Abuse. The night will include a dinner, a panel discussion moderated by former voice of the Salukis, Mike Reis along with longtime assistant coach and now radio analyst Rodney Watson. There will also be an auction of memorabilia as well as some of Tatum’s artwork.
