CHESTER — The Red Bud Musketeers are off to a sizzling start to the 2025 boys golf season. In just the past six days, the Musketeers have won three events and finish second by a stroke in the fourth.

In a little different format Wednesday, Red Bud captured the Randolph County Cup at Chester Country Club. The front nine was 2-man scramble match play while the back nine was singles match play.
Friday, the Musketeers won the Okawville Invitational by 10 strokes, with freshman Porter Donjon taking home medalist honors with a 71.
Red Bud finished a shot behind Salem in Saturday’s Carlyle Indian Invitational. Freshman Draedan Duncan (4th) and sophomore Lane Diewald (8th) both medaled.
Tuesday, the Musketeers won a quad meet by 26 shots against Chester, New Athens, and Okawville. Diewald earned medalist honors with a 36, as six of Red Bud’s eight golfers scored in the 30s.
The Musketeers will host Trico and Father McGivney Thursday.
