Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Prime Time Performer nominees

Voting is open and will run through midnight Saturday for the first Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois in Mt. Vernon Prime Time Performer of the new season.

Here are the nominees for August 25-30:

Josie Anastasi, Johnston City: The senior was named to the All-Tournament Team after helping lead the Lady Indians win the Johnston City Invite. Anastasi tallied 27 kills, 4 blocks and 3 aces in the first 3 matches of the tourney.

Eli Baker, Salem: The senior scored 11 goals and added 3 assists helping the Wildcats go 3-1 for the week. Baker netted 7 goals in the win over Pinckneyville.  

Landen Boman, Pinckneyville: The senior won the Redbird Quad (15:52.10) as well as the Mascoutah XC Kickoff (15:16.60) helping the Panthers win the team title at both events.  

David Boudet, Murphysboro: The sophomore scored 4 goals and added 3 assists helping the Red Devils go 2-1 for the week. Boudet scored 3 goals in a win over Salem.

Johnathan Brown, Du Quoin: The senior rushed for 129 yards, passed for 63 yards, and accounted for 4 TDs in the Indians’ 48-19 win over Mt. Carmel. 

Hannah Edwards, Massac Co.: The senior was named to the All-Tournament team after helping the Lady Patriots win the SIRR Preview. Edwards tallied 100 assists to go with 14 kills, 31 digs, and 9 aces.

Archie Goewey, Centralia: The sophomore threw for 192 yards and 4 TDs in the Orphans’ 42-0 win over Salem.

Alex Hall, Massac Co.: The senior netted back to back hat tricks to finish with 6 goals helping the Patriots go 2-0 for the week.

Orion Hoak, Vienna/Goreville: The senior scored 8 goals and added 3 assists helping the Eagle go 3-0 for the week. Hoak tallied 4 goals in the wins over A-J/Cobden and Mayfield.    

Brendan Klingler, Waltonville/Sesser-Valier: The senior earned medalist honors at 2 matches, carding a 35 and a 33. 

Hayden Knight, NCOE: The senior was named tourney MVP after helping the Fighting Cardinals win the Fairfield Kickoff Classic. Knight tallied 44 kills, 5 blocks and 10 aces helping NCOE go 6-0 for the week.

Reed Marlow, Pinckneyville: The senior passed for 178 yards with 2 TDs and rushed for 83 more yards in the Panthers’ 22-6 win over Red Bud.

Aidan McFadden, Anna-Jonesboro: The senior earned medalist honors at 2 matches, carding a 33 and a 37.

Jonathan Miller, Carterville: The junior rushed for 188 yards and scored 3 TDs in the Lions’ 35-34 win over Marion.

Zeme Moore, Mt. Carmel: The senior earned medalist honors at 2 matches, carding a 33 and a school record-tying 30. 

Lucas Parker, West Frankfort: The junior threw for 157 yards, rushed for 74 yards, and accounted for 4 TDs in the Redbirds’ 50-28 win over Massac County.

Callahan Roper, Marion: The senior threw for 361 yards and 5 TDs in the Wildcats’ 35-34 loss at Carterville.

Caroline Tepe, Okawville.: The senior won the New Athens Invite (19:04.00) and the Mascoutah XC Kickoff (18:25.10)

Giorgia Thoms, Carbondale: The freshman earned medalist and tri-medalist honors at 2 matches, carding a 36 and a 41.

Bronson Tippett, Eldorado: The sophomore earned medalist and co-medalist honors at 2 matches, carding a 37 and a 36.

Jace Weaver, Johnston City: The senior rushed for a 165 yards and scored 2 TDs along with 17 yards receiving in the Indians’ 46-8 win over Carmi-White County.
