ANNA — The Murphysboro Red Devils evened their record at 1-1 with a 41-6 win at Anna-Jonesboro in what appears to be the team’s final trip to the Pit for the forseeable future as the two schools have opted not to continue their series.

Freshman Keegan Shields rushed for 120 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead the Murphysboro attack.

The Red Devils will return home next week to host Herrin. The Wildcats will also be home to welcome Massac County.
