HERRIN — The Carterville Lions jumped out to a 21-0 lead after one quarter and cruised to a 42-0 win at Herrin in the SIRR Ohio opener for both teams.
Andy Johnson threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for two more to lead the Carterville attack.
With the win, the Lions improve to 4-0 on the season. They will step back out of conference next week to host Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The Tigers fall to 0-4. They will be back home next week to take on Murphysboro.
