Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Prime Time Performer nominees

Voting is open and will run through midnight Sunday for our next Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois in Mt. Vernon Prime Time Performer.

Here are the nominees for September 15-20:

Eli Baker, Salem: The senior scored 10 goals and added 6 assists to  help the Wildcats go 3-0 for the week. Baker scored 5 goals and added 3 assists in a win over Wesclin.

Grace Bishop, Edwards Co.: The senior was named Tournament MVP after helping the Lady Lions make it back to back championships at the Superman Classic.

David Boudet, Murphysboro: The sophomore scored 8 goals and added 3 assists to help the Red Devils go 3-0-1 for the week. Boudet scored 4 goals and added 2 assists in a win over Pinckneyville and had a hat trick in a win over Harrisburg.  

Orion Hoak, Vienna/Goreville: The senior scored 10 goals in 3 games for the Eagles including 6 in a win over Kennett (MO).

Andy Johnson, Carterville: The senior was 16-25 passing for 180 yards with 2 touchdowns and rushed for another 60 yards plus 2 more TDs to help the Lions beat Herrin. Johnson also added 4 tackles on defense.

 

Brendan Klingler, Waltonville/Sesser-Valier: The senior earned medalist honors twice, carding a 36 to win a 3-team match and a 67 to win the MTC Tournament. 

 

Trace Payne, Sesser-Valier/Waltonville: The senior was 6-6 passing for 105 yards with 2 touchdowns and rushed for 37 more yards plus 2 more TDs to help the Red Devils win at Fairfield. 

Lucas Parker, West Frankfort: The junior rushed 13 times for 284 yards with 2 touchdowns and threw for another 27 yards plus another TD to help the Redbirds beat Pinckneyville 64-31.

Callahan Roper, Marion: The senior completed 22-35 for 374 yards with 6 touchdowns to help the Wildcats win 56-24 at Althoff.

Lynlee Rubach, Steeleville: The sophomore earned medalist honors at the Okawville Invitational carding a 74. Rubach also was 2nd at a match at Carterville with a 38 and 3rd at a match at Marissa with a 40.

Kegan Shields, Murphysboro: The freshman rushed 14 times for 185 yards with 2 touchdowns and also caught a 42-yard TD to help the Red Devils beat Massac County 35-21.

Riley Spencer, Benton: The senior was the workhorse rushing 31 times for 212 yards to help the Rangers beat Du Quoin 17-7.

Jace Weaver, Johnston City: The senior rushed 13 times for 150 yards and a touchdown to help the Indians beat Eldorado 36-6.
