CARTERVILLE — The Carterville Lions improved to 5-0 on the season by knocking off Hopkinsville, Kentucky 35-15 on Veterans Appreciation Night at Lions Field.
The Lions took care of the Kentucky 6A squad with a dominating run game. Carterville got a pair of rushing touchdowns from Jamie Jones and one each from Andy Johnson, Carter Jones, and Johnny Miller.
Carterville will return to SIRR Ohio play next week when they welcome Harrisburg for Homecoming.
