FLORA — In what some billed as the biggest game at Flora’s Dancey Field in nearly five decades, the Johnston City Indians came to town and won the battle of unbeatens, beating the Wolves 38-20. Flora entered the game 4-0 for the first time since the late 1970s.

Kaden Koenig scored three touchdowns and Jace Weaver added a pair of scores as the Indians scored on their final five possessions, keeping the ball for more than 32 of the 48 minutes of play.

Flora senior quarterback Parker Helm set a new school record for career passing yardage, and Kormik Massie scored three rushing touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough as the Wolves could not come up with the necessary defensive stops.

Johnston City improves to 5-0. The Indians will return home Friday night to host Fairfield. Flora falls to 4-1 and will travel to Eldorado Friday.
