MURPHYSBORO — The Murphysboro Red Devils dug a big early hole, nearly climbed out of the hole by halftime, but eventually lost to Lift for Life Academy out of St. Louis 46-34.
Lift for Life jumped out to a 24-6 lead after one quarter, but the Red Devils stormed back behind three Jacob Schuler touchdown passes to close within 32-27 at the half.
Lift for Life added a pair of third quarter scores and held on for the 12-point win.
The Red Devils fall to 3-3. They will get back in SIRR Ohio play next week with a visit to Harrisburg.
