Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Prime Time Performer nominees

Voting is open and will run through midnight Sunday for our next Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois in Mt. Vernon Prime Time Performer.

Here are the nominees for September 29-October 4:

Xander Ashby, Mt. Vernon: The senior earned medalist honors at the Carbondale 2A Regional carding a 70.

Landen Boman, Pinckneyville: The senior earned medalist honors at both the West Frankfort Redbird 6+ (15:27.47) and the Chester Invitational (15:59.86)

Johnathan Brown/Jeremiah Jones, Du Quoin: The senior duo each put up huge nights in the Indians’ 30-28 overtime win at West Frankfort. Brown rushed for 197 yards and scored 2 touchdowns and completed 9 passes for 198 yards and 2 more touchdowns with Jones hauling in 6 of those passes for 159 yards and both TDs.

Dee Carruthers, Massac Co.: The junior rushed 27 times for 181 yard and 2 touchdowns plus 60 more kick return yards in the Patriots’ 35-20 win over Herrin.

Hadley Douglass, NCOE: The freshman earned medalist honors at the West Frankfort Redbird 6+ with a time of 19:05.42.

Jadyn Gerardi, Anna-Jonesboro: The junior earned medalist honors at the Wesclin Invitational with a time of 18:23.60.

Gabriel Greer, Marion: The junior earned medalist honors in the Blue Division of the Nike XC Town Twilight in Terre Haute, Indiana with a time of 15:16.62. There were a total of 784 racers who finished in the two Blue Division races.

Archie Goewey/Kenny Bratton, Centralia: The senior duo each put up incredible nights in a 55-28 win over Marion. Goewey was 19-29 passing for 360 yards and 7 touchdowns. Bratton hauled in 7 of those passes for a 147 yards and 4 TDs. Bratton also had 2 interceptions on defense as well as 87 yards on 2 kickoff returns.

Trey Johnson, Johnston City: The senior rushed 14 times for 151 yards and scored 2 touchdowns to go along with a 61-yard TD reception in the Indians’ 46-22 win over Fairfield. Johnson also tallied 111 return yards.

Whitney Lovel, Trico: The junior earned medalist honors at the Herrin 1A Regional carding a 72. She then as named to the All-Tournament Team after helping the Pioneers go 4-0 and win the Sparta Tournament.

Kormik Massie, Flora: The junior rushed 25 times for 248 yards with 3 touchdowns and a 2-point conversion in the Wolves’ 28-22 win at Eldorado.

Aidan McFadden, Anna-Jonesboro: The senior earned medalist honors at the ZRC 1A Regional carding a 72.

Jacob Schuler, Murphysboro: The junior completed 14 of 17 passing for 252 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Red Devils’ 46-34 loss to Lift for Life out of St. Louis.

Caroline Tepe, Okawville: The senior earned medalist honors at the Chester Invitationals with a time of 19:25.65.
