John A. Logan men’s basketball is ranked in the NJCAA DI men’s basketball preseason poll.
The Vols, who return five key players from last year’s team that went to Hutchison, Kansas, are ranked #20 in the preseason poll.
Logan sports a roster filled with some of the top area players with five total players hailing from Little Egypt, including sophomore deadeye Decarl Payne (Carbondale).
Logan opens the season against Mineral Area at Three Rivers Community College on Friday October 31. Mineral Area is not ranked but receiving votes. The following weekend, the Vols play Coffeyville (preseason #8) and Indian Hills (preseason #13). Archrival Vincennes opens the year ranked #4.
