Little movement occurred in the Little Egypt Football Poll this week following dominant wins and few ranked matchups in Week 8.

One of only two ranked matchup was between #2 Carterville and #10 Murphysboro.  The Lions handled the Red Devils 28-7.  The win keeps Carterville at #2 but Murphysboro drops out of the Top 10.

Benton remains #1 following a 56-7 win at Pinckneyville.

The only movement seen is Centralia moving up a spot to #5 following a huge comeback win over Mt. Vernon 48-44.

The other ranked matchup was between #3 Du Quoin and (then) #5 Nashville.  The Indians defeated Nashville 28-13 to keep their #3 ranking while Nashville slips to #6, swapping places with Centralia.

Sesser-Valier climbed in to the top 10 at #10 following a 24-20 win over Eldorado, taking the spot of Murphysboro – who suffered their second loss in the past three weeks.
