Carterville’s Brett Diel collected his 50th career win on Saturday in a dominating 42-14 over 15-seed Alton Marquette.
The Lions head coach took over for Dennis Drust after serving as an assistant for many years in 2019. Since, Diel has gone 50-17.
The Lions next head to Springfield this Saturday to face off with Sacred Heart-Griffin. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30pm. The broadcast will be heard on Newsradio WJPF 1340 AM and 99.5 FM.
