MAROA — For the second straight year, the Johnston City Indians saw their season come to an end at the hands of Maroa-Forsyth–this time 41-6 in the second round of the 2A playoffs.
Trojans’ senior quarterback Ryne Sheppard ran for two touchdowns and threw a third in the first half as Maroa-Forsyth built a 27-0 by halftime and cruised to the win.
Johnston City finishes the season 10-1. The Indians are 51-8 over the past five seasons.
