MARION — After having their scheduled season-opening trip to Jacksonville canceled last week due to the weather, the Marion Wildcats officially opened their 2025-26 season with a 71-64 win over Cahokia, in the South Seven conference opener for both teams.
Makhi House was the story of the night. The Marion sophomore poured in 30 points in his varsity debut. Cam Curry added 18 points, while Blake Blue chipped in a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Wildcats will be back in action Saturday night when they will take on Freeburg in the final game of the Cuss Wilson Shootout.
