MARION — Sophomore Makhi House poured in a career high 36 points to lead Marion to a 64-49 win over Carbondale, moving the Wildcats to 6-0, 2-0 in the South Seven.
House was 14-22 from the field and 8-10 from the line to go along with seven rebounds, four steals, and three blocks. Cam Curry just missed out on his third straight double-double, finishing with 15 points and nine rebounds. Sam Adkins added 13, as only three Wildcats scored on the night.
Deon O’very was the only Terrier to reach double figures with 14.
Up next, Marion will travel to Harrisburg Saturday night before hosting fellow unbeaten Centralia Tuesday night. Carbondale, who is now 4-6 (0-2), will return home to welcome Madison Tuesday night.
