ELDORADO — The Carterville Lions jumped out to a big lead early and never let off the gas beating Anna-Jonesboro 59-28 in the championship game of the 61st Eldorado Holiday Tournament.
It’s Carterville’s first EHT title.
The Lions led 23-8 after one quarter and extended that lead to 40-15 by halftime.
Tourney MVP Colton Hawkins led the Carterville attack with a game high 21 points. Maddox Gulley added 19. Kaleb Gore led Anna-Jonesboro with 16.
Up next, Carterville (11-1) will return to SIRR Ohio play Friday night hosting Harrisburg. Anna-Jonesboro (7-7) will travel to Pinckneyville Tuesday night in SIRR Mississippi action.
