Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Prime Time Performer nominees

Voting is open and will run through midnight Sunday for our next Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois in Mt. Vernon Prime Time Performer.

Here are your nominees:

Lillian Browning, West Frankfort: The sophomore went 3-0 with 3 falls in a total time of 3:20 to win the 190 pound weight class at the Murdale Girls Invitational. 

Cam Curry, Marion: The junior scored 34 points to go with 22 rebounds, 18 assists, and 10 steals to help the Wildcats go 1-1 for the week. Curry posted a triple double of 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in the win over Robinson. 

Jamisen Green, Harrisburg: The senior scored 63 points helping the Lady Bulldogs go 3-0 for the week. Green scored 30 in a win over Herrin. 

Jude Harmon, Massac Co.: The junior scored 81 points to go with 9 rebounds and 8 assists in 3 games. Harmon scored 34 in a win over Carterville. 

Rylie Hockett, Woodlawn: The sophomore was named MVP after helping lead the Lady Cardinals to their 7th straight Midland Trail Conference Tournament title. For the week, Hockett scored 52 points to go with 21 rebounds, 10 steals, and 6 blocks as Woodlawn went 3-0 for the week. 

Lydia Kwiatkowski, Goreville: The junior scored scored 46 points and grabbed 8 rebounds helping the Lady Blackcats go 1-1 for the week. Kwiatkowski hit 7 three-pointers including one to force overtime and the game winner in OT against Elverado/Z-R.  

Nathaniel Marlow, Webber: The senior scored 68 points in 2 games including 37 in a win over Woodlawn.

Colton McKee, Carbondale: The sophomore won medalist honors at the South Seven Conference boys bowling tournament with 1131 pins. 

Lexie Mott, Chester: The senior scored 25 points and broke the school’s career rebounding record (844) in a win over New Athens. 

Rayci Phelps, Hamilton Co.: The senior scored 57 points to go with 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals to help the Lady Foxes go 2-0 for the week. Phelps scored a school record 36 in a win over Murphysboro. 

Paxton Pyatt, Murphysboro: The junior won the 120 pound weight class and was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Wrestler at the Murdale Invitational. 

Jayda VanMatre, Mt. Vernon: The junior won medalist honors at the South Seven Conference girls bowling tournament with 982 pins.
