Carterville clinches share of SIRR Ohio title with win over Massac County

CARTERVILLE — The Carterville Lions clinched at least a share of the SIRR Ohio championship and tied the school record for wins in a season with a 63-51 win over Massac County.

The win also avenged one of the Lions’ three losses on the season.

Zach Snow scored 21 points to lead the way for Carterville, who improves to 26-3 (6-1) on the season. The Lions can wrap up the conference title outright next Friday night when second place Murphysboro pays a visit.

The Patriots fall to 11-13 (3-5). They will close the regular season with a pair of road games next week–Tuesday at Paducah St. Mary and Thursday at Century.
