The past few days have seen a pair of SIU men’s basketball freshmen announce they’ll be back in the 2026-27 season.
On Monday, redshirt freshman center Jaheem Webber announced he’d be returning to the program. He averaged seven minutes off the bench in 19 games this past season with 1.4 points and 1.7 rebounds.
On Tuesday, freshman guard Jalen Haynes announced he’ll be returning as well. Haynes played in all 32 games and started in seven games, averaging 7.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.
