Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Prime Time Performer nominees

Voting is open and will run through midnight Sunday for the next Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois in Mt. Vernon Prime Time Performer.

Here are the nominees for December 2-7:

Cade Brooks, Murphysboro: The senior was named MVP of the Du Quoin Tip-Off Classic after scoring 70 points to help lead the Red Devils to a 4-0 record and the championship. 

Kyle Cooper, Waltonville: The junior had back to back double-doubles tallying 47 points and grabbing 20 rebounds in wins over Fairfield and Meridian.

Caden Frey, Marion: The junior went 3-0 with 2 falls and a major decision to win the 150 pound class at Glenwood’s Tyler Cox Memorial. 

Carter Jones, Carterville: The sophomore went 3-0 with 2 falls and a major decision to win the 175 pound class at the Lawrence County Tournament in Lawrenceville. 

Kord Lueke, Hamilton Co.: The senior was named to the All-Tournament Teams after scoring 68 points to help lead the Foxes to a 5-0 record and the championship of the Foxes Invitational.

Delaney Measimer, Carbondale: The sophomore went 4-0 to win the 115 pound class at the Granite City Girls Invitational.

Kamaree Pollard, Mt. Vernon: The senior scored 63 points, grabbed 19 rebounds, and dished out 16 assists helping the Lady Rams go 3-0 for the week. 

Canon Ruby, Steeleville: The senior was named MVP of the Trico Tip-Off Classic after helping lead the Warriors to a 4-0 record and the championship. Ruby had multiple 20+ point games including 26 in the win over Trico.

Docker Tedeschi, Benton: The senior was named MVP of the Goreville Invitational after scoring 97 points to help lead the Rangers to a 4-0 record and the championship. Tedeschi reached 1000 career points in the process.

James Walker, Wayne City: The junior was named to the All-Tournament Team after leading the Foxes Invitational in scoring with 99 points in 5 games helping the Indians go 2-3 for the week. Walker added 23 assists and 16 rebounds as well.
