MURPHYSBORO — The Murphysboro Red Devils saw their season to come to an end in the championship game of the 1A regional they were hosting, falling to Waterloo Gibault 4-0.
Karmon Grohmann scored twice between a pair of goals on penalty kicks to lead the Lady Hawks’ attack.
Murphysboro finishes the season 18-5-2. Gibault advances to the Althoff Sectional to face Father McGivney Friday at 5:00.
