The Chester Yellow Jackets will host Maroa-Forsyth Saturday at 1 P.M. in the first round of the 2A IHSA Playoffs.
The Yellow Jackets finished the 2025 regular season with an 8-1 record, good enough for the 8-seed. This will be the second year in a row that Chester and Maroa-Forsyth meet in the playoffs. Chester lost at Maroa-Forsyth in the second round 28-7.
Coach Billy Belton talked with Matt Varney earlier this week about the matchup, senior quarterback Tray Peters, and more when the Yellow Jackets practiced at Carbondale on a rainy Wednesday afternoon.
